i'm kinda feeling the structure of applause so much. after the standard verse chorus (x2), instead of a proper bridge it moves into a subdued interlude, making the final pre-chorus/chorus really feel like an encore. what kind of ART pap
The double-claps/single-claps also start right at the start of third chorus (unlike the other two choruses where they begin at the A-P-P-L... part) making the hook start straight away which just slays your brain so hard you're left like a lobotomy patient.
Imagine Sex Dreams as lead single in April/May, Applause in July/August and the album/app dropping on August 19th, as originally planned, 9 months after the "ARTPOP is in the womb" tweet.
They need to dive in the whichever closet they used to choose that TF wig for VMA Applause, the quality of ha wigs is going down, and that one looked greaT. The Artpop one slayed lives, too.
The production of Applause is really one of her best, everything just works together really well and the attention they paid to details is amazing.

And until a few months ago, I used to wonder why Applause seemed so quiet compared to the ending of Gypsy, but then I realised that it was deliberately produced in a way that the volume slowly grew throughout the song until the final chorus where it explodes
The Cheek 2 Cheek era needs more milking. Hopefully after the tour, she'll join Tony and start milking C2C as much as they can in English speaking countries.

For all the true techno fans who are confused by me and Surgeon's performance at the Lady Gaga show: Don't worry, the audience hated us. and have hated my live techno set since the tour began. The universe is intact.

I just noticed this I was wondering what it was about the last chorus that just slayed me so hard.
I actually loved watching Starlight. She really loved what she was doing and that really counts when it comes to live performers. Breedlove was okay but quite cheesy
