You're acting like Lorde's music had a HUGE career-changing impact on Taylor's music though. And um, every artist is inspired by someone else's music. So, your point? lol. They all influence each other. Every artist in the entire music industry have a symbiotic relationship. NONE of their ideas are original. They simply were inspired by someone else, something they heard, or somewhere and discovered their album's sound.
In that regard, Taylor is influential and so is everyone else for that matter.
