All this made me love ST even more because she was completely original and fresh. The few inspirations (Madonna in Haunted) were actual inspirations, not recycled ideas.

Well, that's not true. She spoke on the Fosse inspiration before there was controversy. And the GMB vid. She spoke on the LOT vid. BTS of Countdown. She worked with the people who were responsible for her inspired BBMA RTW performance. Even with her RTA at the VMAs she said BTS that they were "stealing" the idea from Mr. and Mrs. Smith.
The problem is/was that she was almost ALWAYS inspired by something and recreated it. Not inspired to do something in the same vein without making it look like a knock off i.e Haunted.
Drag a bit. She does. She did. She's seemed to move on from that. No copying controversies this era!
