Some of us don't take too well to force fed emotional messages or heavy handed writing. Not saying I hated this, because I give it about a 6.5/7 but I can understand the hate it crowd a lot more than I can the love it crowd.
Not to mention early word from Paramount had this painted as 2001: ASO 2.0 & when you have hype of THAT level the product better be damn good. This can't compare. Not even half as good as Gravity.
