I don't think it has anything to do with the book; in my opinion, the song is simply about someone who has overcome their fear of shyness. I could be wrong though

True, the lyrics likely have nothing at all to do with it - I just think the title connection is cute & interesting.

It sounds more like a Femme Fatale prototype than an In The Zone track tbh.

It ruins the flow of the album and makes the songs that come after it unlistenable for me.

Yeah it's not very cohesive at all lol, especially when you compare it to albums like Blackout and Femme Fatale. It has all different types of songs - pop, dance, rnb, ballads etc, although BNG is one of the weakest on the album it kinda fits. The only thing I dislike about the song is that it sounds a bit immature and seems like it would fit more on one of her previous records

I know i havent been in this base for a while, but i wanted to say this. Britney Jean has aged TERRIBLY for me. It used to be my favorite Britney album by the time of its release, but i really dont listen to it anymore. It sounds really dated and i really dont like it anymore. It has flopped all the way to #8 if i have to rank her best albums

There is only one thing that didnt change: It Should Be Easy stays my favorite Britney song ever. Still pressed it wasnt a single
