I generally try to give people the benefit of the doubt and tell them why what they say is incredibly offensive.

I'm fully aware of the origin of that word, and why it is considered offensive. However, there are 2 use of the N word:

1 - the offensive way, meaning I am insulting a black person based on his color.
2 - I'm saying it because it's in a song and has no means of disrespect involved.

Black people should learn the difference before accusing people of using the N word like they have committed a crime.

No I shouldn't. The topic at hand is about artist' using the word in their songs...So why exactly should I expect that? Are the subject artist so entitled that they can just start taking parts of culture all willy nilly for success because its what "in"? You can't call me racist for what I'm saying when you know Americas history and the stigma its created. Im not going to lie, it IS worse when a white person says the N word versus other races, but thats only because the words horrible origin came from white people and was used to dehumanize and demean Africans for many, many years. Thats just the way it is.

Surely, you can't call someone racist and "judging white people", just because they feel uncomfortable with them saying it.

I still have yet to understand why white people want to use this term of endearment so badly. Like why is it so important that you have this word that you KNOW has had a negative connotation with it in your life. Why? Probably entitlement, whatever.

This is the current problem concerning race. Black people only feel like it's racism when a white makes remarks to a black.

An offensive/insulting remark is offensive regardless of what your skin color is.

Black people can make offensive remarks to whites - but they would say that it is not racist because of what happened in American History. But by doing so, they are avoiding the fact that they have just offended a person.

If you take race out of context, we would be left with HUMAN RIGHTS - and that's what I'm for. For equality for all.

I understand that. However that is a different discussion. You should not be offended that a white person cant use the N word if you KNOW why people have said they have a problem with it.

White people being able to use this word will by no means further the progression of equality for them, especially since they're already on top of the food chain in America

Also, its not just white people. Its just ESPECIALLY white people, but only because of whats happened in America. And not just slavery, the years of oppression (like blackface as well) and racism that followed even into today.

and black people can get offended when black people use it, I've seen this happen, and no I'm not just saying this it's obvious some if not a good majority of black people don't like the word used no matter who says it.
