also there is literally 0 Beyoncé influence here. I probably think this is Taylor at her fullest, most unbridled self and with the most creative control she's ever had.. which is why the video is so perfect.
K I came in here to read what people thought and I heard those complaining about Beyoncé comparisons. I figured it wasn't much, but then in the first minute there are CLEAR similarities to Haunted/Jealous.
The rest not really, but if you don't see it, you're likely defensively denying it. The bed scene, the stairs, the table. Of course these are not things that Beyoncé owns, and maybe Taylor didn't copy, BUT you cannot deny the similarities. She's even wearing 1920s-esque outfits.
As for the video, it's okay. It's setting and visuals are far more interesting than what's happening. But that's Taylor. She's not really a dazzler when it comes to performance.
