True but that's sad. They still move around a lot and have to deal with fans all night, etc and travelling. And then they're also forced to do yearly albums.

I have a feeling they got royally screwed when they signed their record deal when they started out. They're 100% a SYCO creation and probably have very little say in anything.
Hell, I don't even know if they'd be able to switch to a new record label if they wanted to and still keep the "OneDirection" name or branding. SYCO probably owns that and won't let it go.
Syco knows better than anyone that they need to cash in while there is still gold (Pretty much what Akon did to Gagz). The boys know this, and are willing to put in the extra touring dates so that in the long-term, they will be financially stable for the rest of their lives.
The boys still have one more album and tour to do and after that it's easy living, just around the time their success would start to dwindle. Its a smart decision/investment in today's time.
It's more sad because they don't even make a lot of money - the little they make has to be split by five, their label must have all the money because they signed the deal when they were nothing. They are just very tired, I believe. It's not even funny
