This again proves the double standard against women, he's essentially going through his Bangerz era and there's NO backlash of any kind. Then again he's not getting nearly as much success from it, but he was never as big as Miley and the music is a lot worse (Jealous is no We Can't Stop or Wrecking Ball).
If anything this Nick Jonas situation is interesting because the previous standard 101 transition for male teen stars into adulthood was to "act black" and now suddenly we've got a guy exploiting his sexuality in a way that's not really common for men. There's a reason why the reference point for Nick is Marky Mark....a full 23 years (!) ago.
