Aubrey is just a mess. He's ****ed up, he's manipulative, he's sensitive, and he can be straight up cruel when he wants to be. All of his exes talk about the head games he would play, the lies, the insults out-of-nowhere that cut you deep. He is good at observing people and playing on their weaknesses.
Nicki is hot-headed. She doesn't play games. It's her way or the highway. At least that's what it seems like from my point of view as a casual bystander...
Even if he did treat her right, but I don't think they're compatible.
I don't see Aubrey as someone who wants to share his spotlight or success. He wants complete control of whoever he's with or he wants them to not interfere with his work life at all. Considering that first and foremost they are both rappers on the same label, it would never work. He would try to butt into her work and then would get mad the second anyone compared their music or asked him questions about her. He could not deal with being one half of a celebrity couple. He wants/needs a girl that's either going to stay at home or be in a completely different profession.
Aubrey is just too moody and possessive for someone as straight-forward as Nicki. Like, say what you want about Nicki, but she's pretty clear about her intentions and her goals. He wouldn't be able to handle that long-term.

Yeah, everything you said is right. They're too opposite for it to work long-term, but also too similar.
Nicki is the same way. She couldn't be with a celebrity of her stature, and she herself said she likes men that aren't famous (because she can control them in a way, and there's lots of women like this).
