lol at people having the audacity to say anything about about her sales. That would be like laughing at Oops because it didn't sell as much overall as Thriller.
She's annihilating everyone, and there hasn't been a sales week this big in 12 years.
Kii at the army celebrating when yesterday they said they didn't care at all. Now, let's wait for SoundScan's numbers, which are the ones that matter, I hope those are bigger just for the mess and for the massive clockage that would happen.
3 +milli openers in the '10s >>>>>>>> 1.3 million during album sales peak.

Why are Xtina and Beyonce stans so angry
im happy for Taylor and im still waiting for final numbers
I'd have been pissed off if she broke the record. I am so glad she didn't do it but hey, congrats to her! 1,3M is an amazing thing. I am curious to see how much she'll do oveseas and her second week.
You are looking at direct sales, though. HDD reports percentage of retailers that have reported. I will give a brief example. Let's say that there are 4 stores that sells Taylor's albums. 2 of these stores (50%) report sales of 964,000. Now, the remaining 2 stores (50%) could be corner stores that each sell 1 album each. Then you would have 100% reported sales of 964,002. So, it is weighted number of sales according to number of retailers and not a direct ratio of sales.
who cares if she broke Britney's record or not, Taylor still set a new one; the first act EVER in history to have 3 consecutive million+ debuting albums.
not gonna lie this is an even bigger mess than expected
i mean... 3k....
part of me wants to drag Tay just for fun, and because the Swifties (ok fair enough-- SOME Swifties. and i don't hold the whole bunch accountable for those folx' behavior) have been incredibly cocky, but any way you look at it, those sales are undraggable
