In fact, doesn't this remind you a little of "Leavin'"/"I Kissed a Girl" thing? At least "Leavin'" is a little more memorable and was a little bit of a bigger hit than "Summer Love".

yeah, thats a good example of what happened. I was surprised too that Umbrella never hit #1 on pop radio...and in fact Hate That I Love You, Take A Bow, Disturbia(i think) have all spent more time in the Top 10 on pop radio. Even Dont Stop The Music spent the same amount of weeks in the Top 10 of pop radio umbrella.
"Summer Love" was the song that prevented "Umbrella" from hitting the top spot.
