Since when is Rihanna respected by straight men? She has only been dogged, disrespected and objectified by them. The only "men" I see respecting her are her gay stans.
It's not really something so far-fetched. Rihanna was raised in a very conservative country, and even more conservative household. Women don't attain as high positions in society as they do in more industrialised countries.
For her, being a housewife is simply the norm. That's the idealised norms/values she was born into and which she internalised. Her personality, which does give off a 'i'm the sh!t h03, bow down' may be just a rejection of that subjugated life.
