It wasn't being given away; it was an optional purchase. And it only generated 8k sales or something like that, so let's not act like it was some huge gimmick. It's not Taylor's fault that she and her team have the intelligence to sell her album through every vendor available. I really like 1989, but I can't stan for Taylor. She is so ugly and she prolly has STDS. IDK, she has that face that u want to punch, multiple times... but the album is so good, and she deserves the 1,3mil copies. She obvi is inspired by Madonna (like she said), a tad of Lorde and Lana, but it's cute.

By mid-day Oct. 27, the album's release day, its projection grew to over 900,000. The next day: 1 million, followed by upgrades to 1.2 million on Oct. 29 and then 1.25 million on Oct. 31.
