She still has two diamond albums and 90 Million albums sold. OIDIA sold 1.3 Mill first week and sold 22X more in the long run. Sadly, Taylor wouldn't reach that number although I'd be glad if she did.

Congrats to Taylor. She deserves it. She's one of those artists who really works hard and really give so much effort in her music. I like her and if there's someone who'd snatch that record away from Britney, she's one of my choices. She's definitely pop royalty right now and no one can deny that.

I guess we'll just cling onto highest selling debut album for a female artist now. A more impressive record since it's about TOTAL sales, not just first week.

Alanis Morissette's Jagged Little Pill. It was her debut album in the US and it sold more than BOMT.

The fact that it was released during the most thriving period in music industry's history takes away half of that impressiveness. Taylor feels greater.

If taylor or adele break that her trinity will be
best selling teen artist
2 diamond albums (one of two females to do so) plus hers were consecutive
Best selling female artist since Mariah Carey, 5th overall WW (even if you count track equivelant albums)
