To me when I used to think of albums sold I assumed it meant each person bought a copy and now since ATRL i know hardcore fans who buy multiple copies to enhance sales weeks. I can understand gifting and I can understand buying in different formats like a CD copy and a Vinyl copy but it just seems silly to me to buy a ton of copies to help enhance the stats for someone who already has more money than the fanbase that is supporting her.

Well, I don't think it is representative enough to be a problem though.

And considering the current sales, I don't think Billboard should complain imo
