to Chemical X- you're crazy if you think ADELE's fan base is old people only. It's primarily young people. Her iTunes digital sales speak for themselves. RITD, SLY, and SFTTR are all massive digital hits + 21 is the best selling digital release by a mile.

And it's not a number as questionable as Thriller's, tbh. Especially since Nielsen didn't exist when it came out. 21 should technically be the best selling album of all time. Kinda glad the biggest era of all time wen to a female, it's nice to see.
lol Thriller was released in a music climate similar to 21 (maybe even a tiny bit worse) shockingly. So if you wanna adjust 21, you'll have to adjust Thriller....and it probably goes over 150 million.

i don't think adele's fanbase is ONLY old people in fact i, along with every other human being, own 21. i just don't think she has the type of fanbase that willl be ~so hyped~ about an adele album that they buy it first week. but again, we'll see what happens whenever she decides to release

Adele kinda did the opposite, she killed all the pop girls careers with her release so the ones that were decent sellers stopped. She is the devil.
