Taylor has a vast selection of BFF's and different ones come up at different points in time. Lorde, Karlie, Lena, Selena, etc.

Lena's probably coming up a bit now because she's dating one of 1989's producers (Antonoff), inspired a song on the album (You Are In Love), and probably partially inspired Taylor's move to New York, which is a big talking point with the album.

True. She always struck me as a weak little girl who wasn't able to stand up for herself, but that deposition where she said he didn't abuse her under oath might hurt her. I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt and believe her 100% but it all seems like a ploy to get her out of the contract

if she does release it'll sound nothing like her usual stuff (bc no Luke lol) which might alienate the public or it might even make her more popular. There's actually a chance that she has this Britney style comeback where she paints herself as this Phoenix rising from the ashes, but I doubt she's smart enough to pull that off.

"Out of the Woods", "Clean" and "You Are in Love" (such a strong "Secret Garden" influence, his impact) are the best tracks on 1989. Taylor works best when she's trying to be a serious artist with this one, but the pop songs are still loads of fun. Much better than Prism.
