I understand that some people will argue that this is a load of **** because the concept was arguably not reflected in the material, but I honestly think it's because of all the mess that happened during the era. Had the original plans of the era happened (videos for every song, interactive app, Act II, etc.), I honestly think the concept would have been conveyed much more clearly. People forget she was only actively discussing and promoting the album from around August through April, with big chunks of nothing in between, which isn't nearly enough time to give a convincing representation of the meaning of an album as monumental as ARTPOP. Again, had the mess not happened, we could perhaps still be in the era, and things may have been a bit clearer.
