Okay.
Nicki. I'm going to need you to come harder than this.
This isn't what I expected from The Pink Print.
She was on such a good thing with Lookin' Ass & Pills n Potions. I thought this album was going to be about her asserting her status and her womanhood, & bringing IT.
I love the minimal production, even though the instrumental is quite repetitive and uninspired. Chris slayed the hook- but I would have loved to hear Nicki sing it - It isn't difficult and sounds perfectly suited to her voice.
I guess what I'm most having an issue with is the song's topic. We just had Anaconda... Didn't really need another track about her ass or how much everyone wants to **** her. Why is she allowing these men to overshadow her on her own track? She gets lost in the mix - No vocals from her whatsoever after the first verse, and by mid-way I forget I'm even listening to a Nicki track.
Lyrically, she's proven that she is capable of so much more. Where is the self-reflection she showed on her first album? Where is the powerful woman running a freakin' empire at the moment? Where is the urgency and hunger she was describing? That is what I need from Nicki & this album. She can keep this.
And those of you saying she needs to appeal to her urban market - Her urban market isn't the one buying her material. And even so, there are better urban offerings than this. She can do better & it frustrates me that she isn't, end of.

I need her to address it as the 3rd single. To my knowledge, she hasn't done that yet. The iTunes hold-up only makes sense if it's going up with the pre-order. If not, it's another case of her team being a mess.

You do realise that this is a single song off of a 20 song album, right?
All your complains will be gone come November 24th December 15th.

This.
I mean, this is probably TPPs Sex In The Lounge which is great because the song really isn't that bad.

You're wrong. She has to appeal to her urban market unless she wants to end up like Usher or Ne-yo. POP fans are fickle, and although they have strong purchasing power...they'll move on to the next biggest thing in a heartbeat. Urban listeners are loyal, that is why Beyonce's fanbase has remained in tact.

A BOP!
Nicki, Drake and Wayned all delivered. I like Chris's part too. I need the explicit version!

A track-list hasn't been confirmed.
And of course, although I'm also aware that artists normally offer their strongest material as singles.

I don't think this will do well on iTunes tbh. Maybe just good first week sales as Drake, Nicki and Lil Wayne often do well first week, but after that I'm not sure.

That still isn't "slaying so hard" or "slaying the charts", but I hope what you say is true.
And as far as I remember, I never stated that I don't like the song, so I can't really "bandwagon" when I'm actually bopping to it as I'm writing this.
-----------
I do think this is a promo single too. She never said "the third single off TPP" or something. Plus, this has been repeated several times, but if she's going to perform a new song at the EMAs, "Only" most likely isn't it.

So whether I like it or not is not important at this point. Because if she thought this was gonna help her sell more albums ITS NOT so just give me TPP on the 24th
Weak hook, wack production & Wayne delivering yet another weak/annoying verse.
This won't even make it Top 40
thats the same thing I said about Anaconda though so we'll see
