Agreed. 1989 reminds me more of Teenage Dream, though. Both created to be shamelessly as pop as possible, and both succeed greatly at it.
Katy could've recorded Style, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Wildest Dreams, and How You Get the Girl with little to no changes, specifically.
Wildest Dreams as well, but any pop girl could've recorded that one since it sounds so Lana. Lana's impact on the girls is undeniable: Rihanna (What Now verses), Miley (Wrecking Ball verses) & now Taylor Swift (Wildest Dreams - Without You).
I can see Trouble and this Never Ever song as perfect pop songs like Roar or Dark Horse or something from Teenage Dreams.
Nialler being the most pressed of them all of course.
I mean, he is telling himself that if Taylord doesn't match her Red first week sales is going to be a "big decline"
She's already a certified American legend. She doesn't need to prove herself to someone who lives in the UK (where she is becoming very popular & successful btw).
Red is by far Taylor's best album. It combines every good aspect of her music (country and pop elements) and manages to still be cohesive.
I think 1989 is her best album. I think she was totally on point with her story about chasing two rabbits and losing them both. 1989 is very focused and features razor sharp production and pop Swift lyricism throughout.
