Agreed. 1989 reminds me more of Teenage Dream, though. Both created to be shamelessly as pop as possible, and both succeed greatly at it.
Katy could've recorded Style, All You Had to Do Was Stay, Wildest Dreams, and How You Get the Girl with little to no changes, specifically.
Wildest Dreams as well, but any pop girl could've recorded that one since it sounds so Lana. Lana's impact on the girls is undeniable: Rihanna (What Now verses), Miley (Wrecking Ball verses) & now Taylor Swift (Wildest Dreams - Without You).
