Because acting childish is considered a bad thing, acting 20 is considered "cool".

Because, Katy comes off as inauthentic.
Katy's identity is being childish. While, I don't think thats the case for the others.
Just my assessment.

There's nothing immature about Katy Perry. She did one music video as Kathy Beth Terry, basically you are implying Last Friday Night had too much impact that you're still there.
I'm sorry but what's embarrassing is shaking your booty, exposing it for the world to see to get views and sales.

They are all colorful and light. Being dark =/= maturity.
And no, I'm not trying too hard. This is a fact.

People want Katy to act her age because ever since she debuted she hasn't evolved musically a single bit, she's been serving the same sound again, again and over again. People would like her to try new things, that's what I think.

This too.
An artist should evolve and not be afraid of failure or losing fans etc.
Katy has been doing the same exact things image and music wise since her debut. Its not only redundant but also incredibly boring, which is why ppl tell her to grow up and show a different side of her. A more adult, more mature side.

They make pop music so, yes, they cater to teens. Teenage girls is the primary market for any pop act, and people on this site really need to accept that already. Katy and P!nk are the only two pop females who actually have receipts of non-teenage girls enjoying them with their massive success on adult pop radio formats.
I don't think it's even possible to make pop music and for 75% of your fan base to not be teenage girls/gays. Unless the bulk of your success came years ago, then your fans will obviously have grown up.

Because Katy literally caters to children to keep her success. Nothing Fergie or Gwen have done this era seems particularly young to me.

Every single video Katy has released this era has been immature besides Unconditionally and maybe TIHWD (although the lyrics of the song itself already reach the maximum level of embarrassment and immaturity possible, truly cringeworthy, so... ). Although I will agree that Booty was kinda desperate in regards to Jenny.

One of the Boys (sorry ) is pop-rock.
Both Teenage Dream and PRISM share the same elements but that's not bad. That's only two albums and she's obviously maintaining success she started with Teenage Dream.
Judge her musical integrity when album number 4 comes out.

The children shade is so stale lol. Last time I checked, the entire GP used Katy. Not just children. Katy appeals to EVERYONE. Not just children. The difference is, Katy ALSO appeals to children, when most other pop girls can't. She has the best of both worlds. Others HATE that, apparently. Katy not only has the children on side, but has more adults on side than your fave. Poor others faves.

OOTB is also Pop Rock.
So then that means that she has had the same sound for 3 consecutive albums. A bit too repetitive, don't ya think?

I think it's more that Katy continues to keep her image in an inoffensive and non-sexual teenage light - at this point in her career, IKAG is probably the most daring she's been with her image. I think in a sense though she is trapped commercially. You see, for other artists who stay inoffensive (like Taylor, namely), they add a certain introspection and maturity through ballads and other topics. When Katy tries, it translates to a lower peaking single a la TOTGA/Unconditionally/Wide Awake - of those three, the two most successful are the ones with only a HINT of maturity.
Meanwhile, the other pop girls you list are girls who have never been consistently top-tier and they're playing a different game; they're trying to be sexier than most 40 year old women attempt to be.

I'm confused, I thought Katy sold out for success for the TD era? But now TD is the same sound as OOTB? Which one is it? Make up your minds.
And no, it's not too repetitive. Most artists have a sound and stick with it. Most GREAT artists, actually. I don't think The Beatles ever switched to dance music or Whitney Houston tried hip hop. Since when is sticking to one sound a bad thing?

Her last first single´s music video looked like cartoon for little kids.
