Yeah, I've always wondered this. Aren't they the same thing? Or is the hook like a couple of lines that are super catchy? I think that's it. The hook can be the chorus or it can be part of the chorus... but it's the catchy part that "hooks" the listener. Yeah?
About the hooks vs. chorus thing: I think it depends on the song. Sometimes, like the main part of a rap song (Charli XCX's part in "Fancy"), it's a hook, and there's no chorus. Some songs will have both a hook and a chorus (like Kesha's "C'mon"), then other songs can have just a chorus.
A good way to remember a hook is that it'll be really catchy, it's supposed to get stuck in your head, or "hook" you in. I just figure a chorus is just the part of the song that fills it all out, kind of gives you the main idea of the song.
I haven't read any of these entries, but I am going to here soon. I will give small hints as to how I feel about what I read so far.

So according to this, in "C'Mon", would the hooks be the, "feeling like a sabre-toothed tig-ER," parts and the chorus be the, "C'mon 'cause I know what I liiii-eeee-iiiike," or the other way around?
