Aaliyah definitely deserved a Grammy. That album is an R&B gem. I know she didn't write but I felt like her creative vision was immaculate. She had so many ideas and different views.
It was nominated for Best R&B Album but lost to Songs In A Minor.
Ariana will never be Mariah. Mariah just has a lot more talent, plain and simple. Mariah has the wider range AND the better control, Mariah writes her own lyrics and melodies, Mariah is more humble, Mariah basically created pop-rap. The list goes on and on. How modest of Ariana to compare herself to her.
