They didn't lie though. I wouldn't consider 1989 100% pop tbh. Definitely not country, but it's not pop. I was kinda surprised with all the production.
Lol Britney and The Weeknd would be so bad. For someone whose whole career has been epitomizing pure, all American bubblegum pop, *~alternative~* Britney would just seem so not believable at this stage.

Speaking of IWNLYD, I'm mad it never took off AND Rita's album won't come until next year -- Get A Little Closer was so good. And her debut wasn't bad so this one woulda been better.
