I personally know many, many people who have addiction problems apparently brought on by prescribed medication, including anti-depressants.
Anti-depressants become addictive because people need them to have proper levels in their brain, to feel "normal."
NOT because you get high off them which is the confusion here.
I would LOVE for you to tell me how I can do that.
That would be just dandy.
If the issue is mild, I think it can be solved with using natural techniques like exercising, eating healthy, getting enough sleep, meditation, making a routine, etc.
Depression and emotional numbness or general emotional exhaustion (feeling overwhelmed, anxiety problems) seem to be the most common traits among my friends who are on anti-depressants. In my experience, they've also developed other substance abuse problems since the time they were prescribed painkillers, usually with alcohol and/or painkillers.

There's a giant difference between feeling sad and/or feeling stressed and depression and anxiety though. Trust me.

After making 2 singer-songwriter masterpieces back-to-back, I understand why she would wanna loosen up and have some fun this era. She's only 24, she's got plenty of time to make some folky records.
I know not everyone dies from using prescription meds but it has happened to people I know and it is a real issue. Also Gaga isn't exactly the most strong willed of people so there is a possibility she might go that route which is why I suggested the alternative treatment. Pills aren't for everyone.
