Only to people who follow pop culture though. Before I was a forum user I remember watching the VMAs and wondering why Britney won VOTY over PCD and Danity Kane when Gimme More and Piece Of Me were literally complete flops alongside Blackout.

It was so confusing. I didnt even know or care about her tragic Gimme More performance until the internet pandering made it seem like some huge moment.
