Why do we say Beyonce is "stealing" when she makes references or pays tribute,
but we don't do it nearly as much with other artists

Fred Astaire, Bob Fosse and James Brown, and it was evident in his work.

Because the whole "thief" stigma is the only tangible thing people could criticize her for. She's held to a much higher standard than the other girls so it's a bigger deal when she does it.

It follows a magical frog and a young woman whom upon climbing unto a fountain rock turns into a large frog, two very strange heads. then she reappears with several other people draped in gowns, flowers and eventually on horses. A rather unusual film for the era.

I was talking about how she gets called out for "copying"
i.e. Countdown, Run The World @ BBMA, etc.

the songwriting credits thing is such a stupid drag because she's always been open about the fact that she works with a team of other songwriters and producers

Nope. She never claimed any choreography as her own. Always mentions her influences, like Fosse. She's never said "I came up with this choreography".. Unless you know something I don't.

Songwriting drama? She's a vocal producer, of course she gets writing credit. She said during the B'Day era that she prefers to collaborate, so that's what she does.

and she spoke openly about that too
