I personally interpret the screaming colour part as simply referencing the fact they're a celebrity couple and every move they make is magnified and of huge focus compared to normal relationships

I only realised last night that Taylor sings Re-e-e-ed at the end of each chorus in Red, I always figured it was just distorted guitar or something. I'm such a flop
She says the monsters turned out to just be trees. Trees are a phallic symbol so I interpret the line as her realising the negative energy in her life primarily stems from men and and she's happier being a lesbian.
I saw it as gaga shade
Nah it's probably just her realizing she can triumph over all her inner pessimistic thoughts.
