Guys, she probably considers How ToGet The Girlīs snippet as the 2nd promo single. We will have to wait, at least we are getting the lyrics each day!
I don't think so, because that will be a waste of promo chance, How To Get The Girl finished its job and will remain as album track, I think the 2nd promo single will be even better than Out Of The Woods.
Don't know what the issue is with HYGTG. I like the title and the song snippet is mad cute; it's kind of exactly what should be expected from a release labeled as a "pop" album when compared to Red, which included "22" of all things.
Even though they're pretty irrelevant, do we have any idea what the 3 voice memos will be?
I hope one is Out of the Woods since the secret session fans said her vocals sounded amazing on the demos. Need to hear that high note after the bridge from the vocalist of our generation.
The leaked credits had one max martin/shellback voice memo, one ryan tedder one, and one jack antonoff one.

What i meant, is that she probably will let the snippet take the work of a 2nd promo single, not that its actually going to become one!
I only want another promo single if SIO/OOTW are still #1/2 by Monday night. Then she can claim the distinction of being the only person with the whole iTunes top 3 at once. But that probably won't happen, and either way I want to try not listening to any other full songs till all the tracks are available.

Indeed. And I don't know why, but I feel all giddy inside whenever I listen to the snippet.

I need SN tour druggie Lord back. Red tour was such a downgrade. If she really is clean now like one of the titles suggests then i fear for this new tour.
Lord knew how much Red tour sucked that she did not even want any official memory of it (DVD, concert movie).

It literally sounds like the track will be a perfect pop song. I've not heard the album but if the rest of the song is catchy, HYGTG looks like a potential single for pop radio. It seems like it's just fun.
I'm all for giddy pop songs produced by Max and Shellback. Obviously.
It's just that this one has - from the snippet - dull production, an anaemic melody, and a ghastly theme. And on top of all of that, it's just not the kind of music I want from this album. But I know the full thing will be cute enough.
I knew.
That's why I mentioned promo chance. I think we will get the second promo single even under such a huge success of OOTW.
Agreed. Another promo single would end up in quite a bit more press, about 300k - 400k more sales to support the impending album release, and potentially sway some people who may not have bought the album, if the promo single is good.

If we in fact get a second promo single, i cant even imagine the LEAD it would get on iTunes. As the preorders are way higher now than when OOTW was released

It's probably more of a pop filler, made-for-radio track than much of the rest of the album. I agree it's not necessarily strong in many of its aspects, but sonically it's solid and digestible. Even if it's one of the worst on the record, I think it holds some appeal.
