At least I'd expect she wouldn't. That would be pretty ****ing stupid if she did. Glad she's gotten herself one of the best lawyers, too. She'll need it, going up against Luke.

This is big stuff. I'm just hoping she can come out on top.

Their contract will most likely be terminated no matter who wins the case imo. Although if he won, her reputation would be tarnished and no one would want to work with her

Probably. If he wasn't going to let her go before the lawsuit, there's no way he'll be letting her go if he WINS the lawsuit and doesn't have to.

The whole point of the case is to get her contract terminated. If she loses the case, the contract remains. That's the issue. If Luke wins, he not only doesn't have to let her go, but he won't even force her to make albums anymore like Warrior (and most likely Cannibal, too), and we'll be left with nothing.

Even if she wins the case, it's still going to be a LONG way until she can get to a stage where she has an album of material that she wants to release on her own terms.

Any kind of commercial success is pretty much out the door, imo. If she leaves Kemosabe, who knows what will happen next... if she'll get signed again, if she'll even WANT to sign to another major label.

It's just a huge mess.

Obviously I'm 100% most concerned about Kesha and NOT about getting music soon, and I'm wanting to just take this whole thing one step at a time. I hope that she wins the lawsuit for her own sake, reputation and peace of mind.

I dont know, I have this gut feeling she has decided now is the right time to file against Luke because she has an album ready (not saying that this is at all, all about the music) but why not do a few months after she got out of rehab, surely it wouldnt of taken THIS long to compile all the evidence, testimonies etc..

It seems that she has really just been focusing on the music the last few months because at the end of the day that is what is still really important to her, remember she said she was in the studio six days a week, every week. But yeah I am concerned about what will happen after this case. Hopefully it doesn't drag on for ages and she can just finally move on. I dont know if she will be able to be signed just with RCA after this, I'm not sure they would want her. Either way it just shows her desperation.

And I know it might seem a bit shallow to focus on her music career and success at a time like this, but best case scenario I can her music have All About You type of success unfortunately. But I would prefer her to never release a song again then have to be stuck with Luke for the rest of her life.

This all makes sense now! Did anyone else ever question why she never fully addressed her alleged conflict with Luke in the past? It's because she wasn't prepared to reveal the whole story.

That being said, I'm going to wait for this to all play out before making any judgements. It's all a bit overwhelming right now. I'm still shocked. I knew he was controlling and maybe called her a few "names", but I never suspected him of going as far as he did.

Probably. Pebe most likely started spreading **** in the Free Kesha movement in hopes that it wouldn't need to go as far as it is now. I mean, weren't those people going around bragging about their exclusive insider info that showed how bad Luke was that they weren't allowed to tell

I was a little sceptical of Pebe earlier this year (while I didn't NOT believe her, she did sound a bit bonkers on Twitter and I thought she was possibly overstating things).

And yes, I remember those insiders. I never really trusted them though but apparently Pebe gave them that info.

I don't mean to defend Luke (I'm not) but I don't think he has been Jojo-ing her up until this point. I think he wanted her to release music, but she refused. In his lawsuit it states she refused to comply with her contract by sending 'sound recordings' or something to him. Basically, music. I'd imagine she's been refusing and staying away from him, which made things boil up until the point where they both felt the need to file lawsuits.

Her behaviour is normal, as a human, though. I mean, there is physical and emotional evidence that she has been scarred in many ways (eating disorder, psychological tests the rehab carried out, almost DYING), so ofcourse she wouldn't comply. It's entirely understandable (and a judge would take that into account, I'd assume).

It said something about 30 days and 60 days notice on the front of their lawsuits but I didn't understand it

So all legalities aside, it would be in bad taste for her to release an album anytime soon what with the lawsuit and all. It would come off as if she were exploiting the attention given for her album drop. Meaning...we're definitely not getting new music anytime soon.
