I'm over the over dramatic comments. They will remain top tier, and slaying. If there was any major negative effects we would have seen it in TaeTiSeo already, just like how T-ara N-4 flopped to the high heavens.
nnnn @ that pic though. I'm glad Soyeon didn't make the cut, even the good sis Hyoyeon sings live more often than she does.
The other girl is Jang Ha-jin, or Hajin. That lineup is the first inclusion of Tiffany & Taeyeon btw. Hajin & Stella allegedly got cut because of lack of dancing skills, which must sting as they went from this to... well...
Then they (Super Girls was their name then) got Chanmi (as in CCM, 5 Dolls) and another girl called Lee Hwanhee, along with Sunny
It was all very down to the wire, as the axed girls recorded Into The New World and everything
Quote:
Chanmi, who was once designated as SNSD’s youngest (maknae), spoke her thoughts about being a part of the SM Girl Group Project, “I was a trainee for a long time. I had participated in the recording for SNSD’s title track, and even completed the photoshoot. Since I was young, I was upset at not being able to debut with them.” She continued, “However, I was understanding because I knew that it hadn’t been that long since I started training. I supported the SNSD unnis and hoped for the best.”
The OT9 + "leader" Soyeon, which was actually rumoured to be the finished lineup, but Soyeon left SM, citing "harsh training". What's new?
Makes me sad that Hyoyeon was the most popular member pre-debut and SM clearly put time into her looks, only to drop her until the Hallyu wave/international fans upped her popularity again...

Oh no, they will remain top tier, but they have passed their peak. Also factoring in previous top tier groups that have lost members do start to decrease in sales. It's natural that they are going to start declining. Depends on how fast/slow is all really...
Soyeon must have seen that contract at the last minute and BOLTED, because no way a girl trains until the last minute and then exists due to harsh training...

Regarding her past trainee days with SNSD, Soyeon explained, “Back then it was tiring. And I went through much hardship.” Thus, she dropped out of her training. She also said, “Even now, I’m still in contact with the SNSD members. I’m really happy that SNSD is doing well. Going forward I will try my best as a member of T-ara. Although we’ll be in competition with SNSD, I would like it to be a friendly competition between us.”
That photo of SNSD is angelic. Sunny giving me EVERYTHING. BABY GIRL.
Imagine if we in this thread were in groups against one another, I wonder who would be paired with who/sounds/concepts/etc. I can't be the only one who thinks about this
I never actually thought about that, but it sounds like fun now you mention it
But to do a random inclusion, this makes me kii and shows that none of us know what we're talking about (for the most part) when new groups are being debuted

Oh of course. I don't mind SNSD eventually going to a BEG-like level (legendary, respected, and decent sales).
That's funny about Soyeon cause didn't CCM like not let Hyomin eat during their nugu days? I remember that video with HyunA trying to get her to eat.
I know they're going to tun into Orange Caramel comparisons but 1. Ok ***** on My Copycat 2. OC is just as much inspired by jpop as Crayon Pop/Strawberry Milk is.
I'm not feeling Girl's Day's new song. Although I got into it a bit late (in September, actually), "Something" has to be one of my favorite K-Pop songs this year, and it's put them on my list of groups to look out for in the future. I have read comments saying that "Something" was really different from the usual Girl's Day song, which is a real shame.
I'll still be looking out for them, but I am not going to have the expectation that they'll surpass "Something", or that I'll even be blown away any time soon.
