Yes but with Red, it was already announced beforehand that every week till album release a promo single will be released. There hasn't been any such confirmations by her this time. And she is tweeting lyrics to each of the 13 songs on the album which kind of confirms that there won't be any promo singles. We will get proper confirmation in another 2-3 days

The repetitive choruses worked well for both SIO and OOTW. SIO is supposed to just be a catchy, fun song. OOTW utilizes its repetitive chorus to represent the anxiety-riddled feelings she had about her fragile relationship. In my opinion, it works perfectly.

Repetitive doesn't always equate to bad.

And there's really no other choruses on 1989 that utilize the same repetition as these two songs, so can we all move on?

I'll admit it's not, like, a top 10 song from Taylor but it would be hard to crack that with her discography anyway. Out Of The Woods is still flawless. The repetitive chorus is doing exactly what it was meant for tbh, to sound frantic and give you those feelings she was having.

Did you and buttbuddy EoA even listen to the song? Where does she put Harry on blast? The song is full or metaphors, literally none of it is plain (sans the chorus, which has its own job and effectively accomplishes what she intended it to). The song's universally acclaimed, and it's going to become one of her signature hits.

Lyrically its a step up from SIO, which was a complete bomb imo, but its no where near some of the great lyrics Taylor used to give us. Part of me wishes this song was sung by someone else.

Let me not get a WP and just say this comment makes no sense.

It's only the chorus and that's the whole point. She felt anxiety during that relationship and she DID repeat that question over and over. That's why she goes on and on about it in the chorus.

And really. With that sig? Let's not even begin about lyrical content sis 'cause you will be embarrassed.
