Hip-Hop and Pop are genres. (Although some say Pop just means popular) I'm brining this back to the discussion earlier. We want a HIP-HOP album not a full RAP album. Saying you want a full rap album means no singing and just straight up spitting the whole album. While as wanting a hip-hop album, you can still sing on it.

Second of all, I don't have the time to explain that to you.

Third of all, Hip-Hop is exactly the same thing. That's what I meant.

Nicki can still do a rap album, and have it be in the pop or dance genres, because rap itself is just a style of singing.

Pitbull albums are considered rap albums, and there's almost no hip-hop on them. will.i.am has rap albums but they're also not really considered only hip-hop, instead more pop and mixed up.

Karmin is rap too but her genre is pop. Same as Becky G and Eliphant and a lot more other artists in the same arena.

I don't necessarily agree, but they're too big for that. Think of all the times you're on Twitter and you see Rap-Up post the links to a new Rick Ross song and nobody blinks an eye. Meanwhile new Nicki and Drake songs are always social media events.

This is true but that's mainly because some do it for career saving whereas Nicki would do it to wet our whistles prior to TPP. Imagine how at ease many of these posters would have been had they had a mixtape this summer. posters would have most of their issues and feelings in order.

However, pop represents whats popular and is mainstream which limits the opportunity of being experimental as it captures a sign of the times. I don't think Nicki should ever tap into that again.
It was a one off and it didn't work out the way she wanted it to which is why she was so bothered and angry that era but it did serve a purpose so she should take that and hopefully put those lessons learned into TPP experience.
