Anywho, if I was lady gaga and someone suggested Madonna had no soul. (lol that's a pretty heavy thing to say, no soul) this would be my response:
"I might not like her as a person or even as an artist and we might not get along but the women did adopt two children who otherwise would have contracted aids or died before they were 7, she does filter millions on dollars into charity, defend people's rights on a daily basis, build schools for girls in places where they can't otherwise learn. Suggesting Madonna has no soul was highly inappropriate.
But despite being given a copy of the interview questions, despite having the chance to plan her answers all she could muster up was "well, you said it"
I'm not sure if you you actually didn't know about those things or you're just trying to downplay just how often she talks about Madonna. either way, you're wrong.
What her team does IS her business. If you are heavily inspired by someone and your main message is to preach love and kindness and you publicly talk about how when people say negative things everyone has the responsibility of standing up and saying "don't talk like that" - you do not allow your employee's to go ahead and bash people. It's not something you can really argue over, it's pretty standard.

Anyways, it's irrelevant because Madonna doesn't hold the responsibility of supporting new artists if she doesn't want to (though she has) It's not a negative if Madonna choses not to support someone.
Madonna and gaga whilst are in the same genre and share similarities couldn't be further apart when it comes to their personality. Madonna is a fan of hard work, determination, having to put the hard yards in before you get a result. She is the epitome of health and fitness and whenever anyone works with her they always talk about her brutal attitude towards her constant work ethic and rehearsal methods.
Gaga admits to being high on stage (something unthinkable to Madonna) Gaga leads an unhealthy lifestyle (which is her choice, not a bad thing it's just her choice) she drugs, she parties, she raves - she goes out on stage high and that's appealing to some people, some people like you that like that kind of show and art others like the more traditional polished performance.
These are core values of Madonna's. Why should she support someone who is the polar opposite. This notion that Madonna has to support gaga or should have supported her is ridiculous. Her not doing so, isn't a negative - she doesn't hold that responsibility and gaga shouldn't expect it.
It is still an indirect reference, ma'am. Perez was coming for Gaga because he holds Madonna to a higher pedestal than Gaga. He felt some type of way after born This Way and he came for her. That is why it was "rooted in Madonna", hence she was indirectly involved in that messy feud, duh.

The constant bringing up of Gaga's "lifestyle" in an attempt to insult her is pathetic. Addiction is a disease and Gaga has been so incredibly open and honest about that aspect of her life. Her doing so is admirable. Addiction is something so many people face on a daily basis and for Gaga to show them and the world that addiction can be conquered and you can still lead a successful life filled with happiness and love is incredibly important.
I mean, the whole thing is almost laughable. I mean, it really is.
I believe it was just last year she went on radio and said the whole perez thing was rooted in Madonna. That she feels like Madonna is aggravated she doesn't care about her. Her entire creative team have been dissing Madonna publicly long before M even made her reductive comment and all because M called her out. She doesn't like being called out. Being told the truth
