Cos Taylor already has the biggest opening week for her single SIO and we all know 1989 numbers are gonna crush everyone else's album numbers too.

If Beyonce had released her album earlier last year she would have won it last year instead of Pink. Beyonce didn't really have any success with singles from her last album either. Drunk In Love did OK, but only went 1 Plat in the US. No other single went Plat from the album.

Billboard is all about the charts and the sales in the US. Beyonce (album) did very well but it's numbers get crushed by Taylor's 1989. Shake It Off already sold 2.2 million and currently no 1 on US iTunes. No single from Beyonce is going to match that and it is only Taylor's 1st single from 1989.

Anyways, aside from LAST YEAR'S album and Drunk In Love (Which peaked late last year/VERY early this year), Bey's been flopping brutally. All the singles in the world don't matter if they don't chart (RE: Pretty Hurts)

Its not about how much Taylor WILL sell in the upcoming months, that will be taken into consideration for next year's WOTY.
Truth is Beyoncé has sold more Albums (2.1 million) and singles (almost 4 million) in the last 12 months.
