Also, I don't wanna sound judgemental or something, but Trent was probably talking about straight males

True, I am more in touch with pop music than the average person, but I still think its stereotypical to act like all males who aren't super in touch with pop stars will think that all pop stars are the same and not care about talent. They won't care as much about the halftime show as pop fans will, but they do have ears and can tell if someone is singing well, if someone has charisma on stage, etc.
And I'm guessing he was too. I am straight actually, but again, I'm obviously more interested in pop music than your average person, so I'm not in the category of people he's talking about.

No one respects her or trash her they just like her, thats it, same can be said about the rest of popstars I mentioned. Except Britney who is a known fact she lip syncs and Gaga who everyone else either doesn't care at all about her or gets weird if you bring her up. It's just is what it is.

That's so stereotypical though. I know I've heard people (a friend actually) say Katy isn't a very good singer. I have a friend who has said Gaga is too weird. I have a friend who has said Gaga has a lot of talent. And most of my friends aren't big pop music fans, they're very much casual listeners (or people in the GP as you'd call them).
You can't just say "everyone thinks ____ about _____" or "nobody says _____ about ______" because everyone has different opinions. They might have seen them performing on TV, seen a video of them performing that's gone viral, etc.

If she continues with the trend of bringing someone else on stage, Rihanna and Kanye are the only acceptable choices. Not here for anyone else tbh

But the majority does!
Do you think someone like Gaga is a fit for the superbowl?
She would bring down the ratings, straight males don0t find her attractive, straight girls find her weird. She's not an artist for the family. All you have left are gays and some special cases like you. She's poison for that stage. I don't think she'll ever be there.
Stereotypical is just how must people act and what I pointed is. Katy is just the perfect one for it!

True, I get what you're saying, I just don't completely agree. Another example is I remember people in the room dragging Fergie a few years back when BEP performed, saying she sounded awful. On the contrary, last year at a party I went to, a few guys were making some casual "she can perform" comments about Beyonce. They're obviously not paying super close attention to it like pop fans are, but can definitely give a valid opinion.

We all know it would still be a great performance, no matter how she sounds.

Again, that's so judgmental and stereotypical.......you can't just make claims like that without evidence. There are straight males that find her attractive I'm sure (when she's not making herself look ugly ), and there are straight girls that like her I'm sure.
No, I don't think Gaga is a good fit for the Super Bowl right now, because she isn't the GP darling that Katy is. Gaga is a polarizing artist and had a very messy era that ended abruptly, and she's now stepping out of the pop spotlight for a bit to release a jazz side project. Katy isn't polarizing, she churns out radio hits that casual listeners enjoy, and she hasn't alienated casual listeners to directly cater to her fan base like Gaga has fallen victim to doing a bit. The closest Gaga got in the ARTPOP era to having a hit that casual listeners liked and that it was "cool" to like was DWUW, it seemed like (based on my own experiences with people). She will be a good fit when she has a smoother era that's not quite as polarizing and hooks more casual listeners.
That's all beside the point though.

He's not being judgemental nor stereotypical. He's being realistic. Just check out male magazines and look for the hottest popstars based on what guys think, you'll see that MOST of the guys find Beyonce, Katy and Rihanna attractive, on the other hand you probably won't see artists like Kesha, Gaga or idk Amy Winehouse in those kind of lists. The population of straight people >>>> the population of gay people. That's just a fact.
