The sales prediction.

I knew I'd be disappointed but this is just
They need to move on from Pretend asap. Just hope they don't pull the plug after this like RCA is notorious for.
At least we can say it's critically acclaimed if all else fails.

These meltdowns need to stop.
1) "2 On" isn't a song that sells albums. She knows that.
2) She hasn't even toured yet. So she doesn't have a big fanbase. Once she tours, she'll be fine. She plans on touring starting in Nov/Dec.
3) "2 On" came out in January, and didn't blow up until this summer. "Pretend" just got released a few weeks ago. Give it time. Radio is still playing "2 On" every 5 seconds, so obviously Pretend isn't gonna blow up right away.
4) Even if her label only gives her 3 singles, remember she can direct/choreograph her own videos. She did it before getting signed.

Pretend isn't going to blow up, but I'm sure RCA will give her at least one more single, they need to pick the right one though.

"2 On" is still top 10 on rhythmic (with positive updates on rhythmic and pop). They're not all gonna add Pretend to their top tier playlists with "2 On" still there. She's not Beyonce or Rihanna, she's not gonna have 2/3/4 songs in rotation as a new artist.

Exactly lol. like idk what everybody thought Tinashe was gunna sell but i'm not surprised nor am i upset because at least now when people hear '2 On', they can actually go look up her album and get into her where as before they had to get into her mixtape stuff
Unfortunately 'Pretend' probably isnt gunna do so well so they need to switch that up but not just give up on the album and keep it pushing. i do think she needs to probably open for somebody and then build a fanbase cuz i feel like her hype really started in the summer and the album followed so y'all need to give it time. Not everybody's first albums BLOW up like that!

As I said earlier..."Pretend" is a Pop song, that they're trying to serve to an Urban audience (those who were exposed to "2on")...It ain't happening.
They trying to go Pop way too soon. And I'm afraid she alienated some of her mixtape fans with these singles...b/c the whole album is great.
Again, horrible single choices...great album...bad combination. And after all the promo, she's in the same boat as Jhene sales-wise, who arguably had less of a push w/ her album. And honestly, TInashe should have just dropped the hottest tracks (even if it only appeals to Urban audience)...b/c at least she wouldn't have confused her mixtape audience.

Jhene is in a bigger boat sales-wise sis
Tbh I agree with you. The single choices were not a true reflection of the album. I think RCA just wanted a quick hit song and now the album bombed. Which is sad, cuz despite my "outlandish predictions" Aquarius is a solid album.
