Why do people keep bringing up "Jimmy Fallon hype"? Like, what hype? There was never any sort of hint/suggestion/tease from Taylor or her team (or even anything from Jimmy Fallon or his show), so why are people acting like she was hyping something up when nothing even happened? A tweet from Will.I.Am. tagging Taylor (when he had tweets tagging other people at the same time) meant nothing, I would think people had enough common sense to realize that it was for the song they were talking about breaking the Hot 100 for days beforehand.
I get that the tweet could be interpreted as teasing, but I think people were just so desperate for a promo song that they were reaching to connect any dots. I still maintain there was no hyping, but disciples just doing the most.

For the most part, I was purposefully being over-dramatic, just for ***** and giggles. I had thought she might release a song, looking back at her promo release history, but if she didn't, I would just have to wait another week. It's all in good fun

Not coming at you, I could tell you were just joking around, but some people seemed genuinely upset. But I guess I shouldn't expect anything else from "some" people.
