Yeah, Bowie is even more forgotten than Princess. If it weren't for Gaga doing that face paint thing (sigh, she used to be so fierce), most of us wouldn't even be aware of his existence.
I will never understand how people can throw out the word "legend" so easily.
I've always had an issue with that.

It's still like hilarious to me how Princess (the guy from the 80's who competed with MJ and always lost, sings that Purple Acid song or whatever it's called) shaded Lady Two#1AlbumsIn10MonthsGa and now he's selling 25% of what Barbra Streisand & 33% of what Tony Bennett sold first week.
Prince wasn't really a popstar in the same sense that MJ or Madonna were.
He was the definition of an artist through and through (not in the faux Gaga sense).
The fact that he risked his music disappearing by not allowing even covers to be posted says how much he cares about commercial success. He's not a legend cause of his sales. He's a legend cause he revitalized the blueprint for R&B.

I hate that all these dumb celebrities have been stanning for it. I feel dumb now.
He's closer to being a legend than anyone from this generation. Unless you're referring to when I jokingly call Aaliyah a legend. I realize where my faves belong on the totem pole, something some people (and their faves) need to also realize.
