Was her catching him cheating her breaking point? She seemed to be completely over the top satisfied with their marriage for awhile, satisfied once they both started losing things, and then just completely lost it one day (tho granted she has been lost mentally since day one). What was with the random closeups on the cats face? I noticed they did the same camera framing whenever they did close ups on Pike. Was it to say that she, like a cat, doesn't answer to the standard human whim and simply operates as her own person? That she is completely unreadable but always pondering like a cat?

It's obvious her parents ****ed her up from childhood, but I think it was a gradual thing as Nick started using her/taking her for granted. I agree that it all culminated in the discovery of his affair as a breaking point, though.

If there was a parallel being made with the cat POV, I guess it might have been because cats are generally seen as crafty w/ little regard for anything but their own well-being.
