I'd hardly call PRISM a "success". 2/5 singles reached the Top 10, and yes they were massive smashes but that kind of inconsistency is never a good sign. They can blame Uncle on being overshadowed by Dark Horse but Birthday and This Is How We Flop? Katy is done, hopefully she slits her wrists on her way out the door.
PRISM, with or without TEA, was still successful. Nicole is right. Like she said, she proved to us that she has flops just like everyone else. Many people thought she was invincible (don't know why, but anyone with back-to-back hits would give that reaction). But a platinum-plus album with two multiple platinum #1 singles is a successful era, all things considered.
Explains the need for a surrogate mother. J-ape's dried up sperm and Beyst's dusty eggs. Don't the chances of having a defected child increase exponentially after your 40's?
I did buy Cheek #1 Cheek, speak for yallselves. Actually bought multiple copies and might gift it again during Christmas. But I can afford it hihi. It's still a pretty bad album tho lol. Nature Boy is like legendary tho. Anywayz, Cheek #1 Cheek is evidence that multiple demographics are interested in Gaga. Queen of Pop, etc.
It was just the first listen though, I barely remember how anything else goes I know I liked title track and the song with Future, but overall it really sounded great all together.

From just 2013 alone, there's alot of good shows worth seeing that are better than anything from the early-late 00s imo (esp. early 00s).
It's the golden age for dramas imo. It's not about reducing it to HBO. I just mean there are great shows on subscription networks, streaming services, and on primetime/cable as well now. I don't hate 00s TV. It's just that it was dominated by the same 8-10 year+ long-running series and most of them got bad as seasons went on. Now it just seems like the pickings arent as slim when it comes to shows to watch.
Well, ultimately my point still stands: None of them are of the same quality as the best back then, simple as that. That's why it's the golden age. I can live with saying that scripted drama has found a new modern peak but it's not of the same height.
The (good) selection today isn't much bigger than it was 10 years ago even though you try to make it sound like that. We had more good shows in 2004 than in 2014. I was clearly stating respective seasons in my posts for shows that got worse later on - something that todays shows are just as vulnerable to.
Prince is definitely and undoubtedly a legend. He released those albums with little to no welfare.
Tony and Barbra were promoting on several untraditional outlets. Two random releases not selling doesn't detract from the fact that Prince is a legend. If he wasn't a legend, he wouldn't be in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (not the BS catalog stuff you all talk about here). If he gave a damn, promoted and used the digital age to his advantage, his sales would be impressive.
I stopped watching Nip/Tuck after the Carver storyline ended. I think it was season 3?
Yeah it ended in season 3 .Many people said it went to **** afterwards and too unrealistic and too over the top .Which I don't quite get because NipTuck was always about holding up a mirror to society and as society became crazier and more over the top so did the show.
I find it funny people used to complain about Katy selling so many singles during the TD era and not enough tour tickets and now she's not having constant number ones but from what I heard a pretty good tour singles are all of a sudden the most important
