I'm glad I saw Gone Girl before reading it. My reaction was worth it alone.

Feel bad for the poor people who read The Empire Strikes Back first instead of watching the movie. It is way more awkward than the film (tho nothing is more forced than the resolution that Leia is Luke's sister in Jedi).
