Clouds has zero chance. Oscars are above all about $$$ and marketing. Still Alice has a fantastic distributor. The article I posted talks about their plan to get the movie seen via screeners and screenings. Still Alice is Julianne Moore's show but Kristen plays a very likable and important character.

I'm looking forward to seeing both "Clouds of Sils Maria" and "Still Alice."

All of those "anthems" dedicated to gays in recent memory are as trite as they come. Real gay anthems are those not necessarily aimed at gays but the gays latch onto. That's why we probably won't be hearing or using "We Are Who We R," "Born This Way," etc. years from now, while "I Will Survive" will be (annoyingly) referenced for a long long time.
