It is everything the critics say it is - EVERYTHING. Rosamund awes, it's the darkly twisted satire of media and American marriage, even society everyone wanted it to be and while being so thematically rich none of it takes away from the thrilling ride (so dumb people CAN enjoy it!). But since you probably knew all that from critics already let me focus on something I haven't read about yet:
There's this one incredibly impressive scene (the end of Act II) that should leave one with his mouth wide open and your hands on the back of your head for its cruelty and violence but you can't help and grin at the genius of it - the way it's perfectly set up by a subtle and thumping score, Rosamund's take on it with just the right amount of subtlety and then eventually the sudden surprise. Unlike popular belief I am confident that it is THAT scene that is going to make Amazing Amy a character for the history books of cinema. Because now I can say that she definitely will be.
Ooh he's I've hard about "the scene." Poor Julian Moore.

This piece of trash forgetting the prop she calls a kid. The way she squeezed her disgusting fat ass into those pants.
There were things I preferred in the book - mostly concerning Nick Dunne's character but not only. However, there are a lot of aspects the film achieves to bring across so much better than the book so it's alright.
Jane Eyre is like the greatest book of all time!! (Charlotte > the other Brontė sisters) I don't like modern books as much as classic literature tbh, except the Harry Potter series!
Jane Eyre is terrible. The true Bronte masterpiece is Agnes Grey.

The writing style is so ****ing laborious and fluffy tho

Really doubt Fincher's corny Chiaroscuro techniques are a match to Gillian's twisted writing.
Jech isn't the final boss! I have forgotten some details but the last villain you fight isn't him
Yu Yevon is a cockroach that puts auto-life on your party, making it impossible for you to die. Thus he (and the aeons) do not count as you cannot lose. Braska's Final Aeon/Jecht wins!
