I wouldn't say it hardly impacts it. Just look at The Ting Tings. When That's Not My Name was finally added onto US iTunes, it became the most downloaded song from the album with about double the popularity of Shut Up and Let Me Go. (However, the single page for SUALMG was still fairly large) but anyways, it peaked at like #11 on the Alternative chart. And that's all because it hit #1 in the UK! Also, Bleeding Love moved up faster than I thought it would when it was finally added to US iTunes. Sure, it doesn't have a HUGE impact, but it does have a good amount of impact.
