Bang Bang is a safe option. If she really wants to impact the audience and redeem herself, Lush Life is the way to go.

Now it sounds silly but for the sheeple out there this is a good psychological effect in the perception of the album or her as a person/ artist.

I'm glad you brought up the psychological effect because it has played a huge role in Gaga's career over the past couple of years. The whole reason ARTPOP is seen as a flop by the public is because they've been told it's a flop (we all know it's not). It's great that Gaga has been only focusing on positivity because the average person will take her word for it when she says "the album is a success".

I think their goal should not only be to show off Gaga, who is both the "gimmick" and showstopper of the album, but also try to make it as relevant to the younger audience as possible so they don't ignore it. Which will be easily done with all the pop crowd doing their hits.

IMO, it should be Nature Boy and Bang Bang. Many will recognise the former from Moulin Rouge and the second has already entered pop consciousness thanks to remixes. Have a glamorous set - potentially using visual cues from Moulin Rouge (even as simple as red velvet curtains and light bulb sign of Tony & Gaga) - and a full orchestra/band. Transition into a solo Gaga for Bang Bang to wrap things up with a big finish.

I love Lush Life (more, in fact, than either above), but I worry it'd get lost. It's almost too understated for a show like this. And for that to work as a showstopping number, it'd need to be just her (no Tony medley) with major hype leading up to it ("Gaga as you've never heard her before") and presented in a way that adds to the moment (is it putting her alone on that island in the audience? Is it a huge sparse stage and single spotlight?). It's easier for Adele or whoever to wow with a simple ballad the audience knows because they already connect. Pushing an unknown jazz standard will be hard.

I don't think they should do any of the uptempo standards because they're going to be a damn hard sell to a younger audience, and the Grammys are the ideal platform to slow things down and impress musically.
