Hmmm, while I agree that Adele won all these awards mostly because she's Adele and it was hyped as ****, I also think that song is a masterpiece. When you watch the movie, the lyrics and everything fits in so PERFECTLY and that's so ****ing hard to do. I'm a huge movie freak and there's nothing I hate more than a single for a movie that has nothing to do with the movie. So I get what you're saying that it may be her most boring single, but if you take is simply and only as a movie single, then it's just perfect.
On the other hand, the Oscars... those guys don't care that much about hype etc. and I was convinced for a while that Les Mis would win just because it's the Oscars and they love to throw in some crappy surprise every year. Which basically makes me go back to what I said before, it's a great movie song. And Skyfall being the only Bond theme that's won that award is HUGE.
