That's true but they're still doing well in South America, some Asian countries, the US of course and even continental Europe (Germany, Italy, France...) where they've been traditionnally weaker in terms of singles. Their performance in Australia and NZ is really really weak for their standards.
Also, I'm venting because I'm annoyed at them for releasing such a song which will predictably have a BSE-LWWY like chart-run at best. It frustrates me to see them and their team putting close to zero effort into securing a more long-term career despite all their declarations on the subject.
well i hope they do some promo/release the video soon cos their lead single deserves more than this
& they might be weaker there atm cos they havent toured there in awhile? but their tickets for the OTRA tour were selling really well so hopefully they stay as huge there as theyve been

They were there a year ago which in boy-band time is about a decade. But MM sold less in Australia than their previous albums (especially UAN) so it's not that surprising, but I hope they haven't faded too much so they can get their fourth #1 album there.
Who even cares about those numbers? At some point, some of you have to let go of that zealotry.
It's clear that Story of My Life was a lucky single choice. And anyway, I like that they're choosing two different kinds of song to show off. While Fireproof is the obvious better song, SMG has an amazing vibe in terms of its piano instrument and chorus which gives it a great hook.

In all honesty, if they don't bother trying to make this a hit single (read: not a smash), there's really no point in beating a dead horse.
At this point, I'm stanning them because they are really great guys.
